I'll take advantage of this thread to ask a dumb question. Brooks Brothers has what they call an "Ainsley collar." I like it - it's not too pointed, not too wide. What do you call it?

I call it "Not quite wide enough to reach my lapels". It's a frustrating shirt. There is so much else going for it.

Why are you excluding Cutaway?

Keaton Collar FTW. Not for everyday, but it's a beautiful & unique collar.

Likewise, the Cooper /Lido / Camp collar can be very elegant in a louche sort of way.

Spread or button down for me, which seems to be a bit of a trend here. Hell, I think I only have all of one point collar shirt that I wear on any sort of regular basis.

It's exclusively spread for me. Most of my shirts are medium to wide spread, with a few cutaway collars. I also like the look of the Turnbull and Asser "Regent" collar.

Turnbull & Asser call their spread collars The Standard T&A, Prince of Wales (named after Prince Charles of course), and the Charles Collar (named after Prince Charles again).
