St. Andrews. Their lapels are hand padded/stitched/pressed. Kiton and Oxxford are the only two other mass made brands that do this.

Based on what other tailors, whose opinions I value, say, the nod goes to SA for overall quality and workmanship. That said, another key advantage of SA is that their garments will generally be more flattering to most men across the board, of varying proportions and dimensions, than the Borelli garment. While many hyperventilate over the Neapolitan cut, for all practical puposes the Borelli garment won't be very flattering on most men, and will look downright ridiculous on many.

For how it looks, see how it looks on you, then form an opinion.

For quality of construction, seems like a tug-o-war between marketeers and artisans.

    Mike,

If your nod goes to St. Andrews, how come you did not vote for them?

I do not know about Borrelli (their drop sizes ..) but the Attolini's that I have tried had at least drop of 8 on the jackets. They looked totally made for guys who have V shape torso.

Because it's an objective question. Whoever get more votes isn't going to be the right answer to which is better made.

Well, yes and no. One CAN (have more hand-details) be made better than the other. Jon.

Well according to the poll Borrelli is "winning," thus is better made. According to industry standards, St. Andrews by all means is a much better make. Who is right here? This is why I didn't vote.

If we were talking about shirts, it would be a different story. Borrelli shirts are absolutely top-notch.

Well, St. Andrews does not make shirts, so I am talking about jackets / trousers (mainly jacket though).

    Jon.
