I was reading Monocle on the train and I saw a sleeveless cardigan/knit waistcoat and despite some part of me saying that looks really stupid the idea kind of stuck with me, and I wasn't to try it out as cheaply as possible. I haven't been able to find them cheaply except here: http://www.asos.com/Asosman/Asos-Sle...=20&sort=_None http://www.asos.com/Asosman/Asos-Kni...=20&sort=_None I will not be wearing them like the douche bags in the pictures, and I realise the quality is probably awful, but this is just an experiment. I sort of want to try one with a navy suit, but basically they are for with sports coats etc. Which one should I get? If you are against them both, what's an alternative?

Yeah, this is about right. That said, I kind of hate them both.

Have you tried a real world shop? I picked one up Wed for not much at all. 10 Euros for the cardigan style. 5 Euro for the pullover style [no buttons]. I'm not going to say they will be staples but will be nice under the jacket on cool but not that cold days.

There are no real world shops where I am living at the moment, well I mean there is a butchers and a supermarket etc. but nothing that is of any use to me. What sort of shops have you seen them in? I have had a bit of a look last time I was in a city but didn't find anything along the lines I was thinking for less than ~ £100 which is too much for an item I sort of expect I won't actually end up liking. I guess I am going to think it over a bit more and maybe wait a bit, I may order the first because its so damn cheap, and they seem not to have my size in the second anyway. Thanks for the input everyone.

I don't remember how widely available they are here in Italy. I think they are in most clothing shops but I've tended to ignore them. I only picked them up because they got so cheap I figured why not.

If I were you I would go for the second one, I just think it has a less of a something grandpa would wear to it then the first one dose.
