Hi all,

I'm having a suit made in worsted flannel, charcoal. I want to have a pair of wing-tip boots along the lines of the Allen-Edmonds Dalton, but locally made by Ron Rider here in Richmond, and I'm not sure which would be the best color. I'm primarily interested in wearing them with the suit, or with the trousers alone, but also maybe with jeans. although primary criterion is to match the suit.

Which color would you all recommend? Black, dark brown, mid brown, or burgundy?

Thanks in advance,

Eric Z

Dark Burgundy/oxblood would be my top choice, black 2nd choice. Browns work with lighter greys but I'm not a big fan with charcoal and brown.

Don't buy specific boots because they go well with one suit. Buy boots that are versatile enough to go with multiple outfits. Especially if you plan on investing a lot in it.
