Hi folks, I've been trying to hunt down a store in my shithole of a city that carries Clarks Desert boots but have come out with nothing. I did however find a place called Softmoc who carries a Clarks replica. They only offer 3 colors and I'm having trouble deciding which to go with. These will be worn almost strictly with jeans...if that helps. Which color would you go with? Grey: http://www.softmoc.com/sys/ShowImg.a...20M%20GREY.jpg Sand: http://www.softmoc.com/sys/ShowImg.a...20M%20SAND.jpg Brown: http://www.softmoc.com/sys/ShowImg.a...%20M%20BRN.jpg Oh and fyi they sell these along with the real Clarks on their websites. The inhouse brand are on sale for $79 CAD and with a coupon you can get another 15% off. Cheers

My favorite in actual Clark's is beeswax, but out of these I'd have to say Sand.

I like the sand color for a true retro look. But I ran into Jonathan Adler Monday and he was wearing skinny white jeans and blue desert boots. It was a nice look. Why not blue?

I don't think they offer blue. I want snap a few pictures of these boots and post them up here. I noticed there are a lot of threads about cheap desert boots and these are the cheapest I've seen. The build quality looks to be the same as Clarks although I can't say for sure b/c not one store in my city carries the DB. I ended up buying sand but went and exchanged them for grey. The sand ones to me resembled the whole "gangster" timberland look a little too closely.

Also, the grey picture above is not a good idea of the color. The grey looks more like these, actually they're almost identical:

Just buy real Clark DB's here. There's plenty of colors and sizes and they ship to Canada.

I would but I always like to try on shoes before ordering online. No stores in my city have them. I'm also still not 100% sold on this style of shoe so I want to get them as cheap as possible. I'm a guy who's always worn sneakers and sperrys so a boot is a new thing for me.

Just go with your normal size on the Clark's and you'll be fine. I ordered the real clarks from soft moc in sand.

Once you buy a pair of Clarks DBs, though, you'll want them in other colors. Which is why I now own four pair.
