Which checkered shirt do you suggest?

I can't decide which pattern to go with... I'd like to be able to dress it up with a tie, so not sure which is better for that. I like both, but can't afford going with both right now.

So, opinions on which you like better, and which is more suitable for what. Thanks.

I would compare the check sizes with the pattern sizes of your favorite ties.

I wrote what I wanted... "I'd like to be able to dress it up with a tie" which I imply as on the business casual or formal side. It's for work more than anything, but some versatility wouldn't hurt.

I have no ties with small checks. I dislike small checkered ties. I like bigger, bolder checkered/plaid patterned ties, if I do the type of pattern at all. And I also do solid ties often... So, ultimately, I think most ties I'd pair with the shirts would work fairly well with either.

While I think microcheck would likely be what I'd want to choose, I do not have that as a selection. These are the only two. And I cannot both because I cannot afford both (already getting other shirts).

And I am turning 24. I've been working about a year. Wearing shirts that don't fit well, so planning on going MTM (in person, not online) route.

Other shirts I'm getting are solids, but wanted at least one patterned shirt... and enjoy checks more than stripes.

For those saying get microcheck... would these slightly larger checks look bad? Does anyone have an example of someone wearing something similar?
