Which black monk straps?

Brooks Brothers Peal & Co. $321 courtesy of the current sale at BB.

all things equal, i'll probably go with the peal. I like the last better, and the strap of the alden monks is a little narrow for my taste.

but either is acceptable.

NoVaguy echoes my tastes here. I'd go with the BB, non-wing tip model.

Of the two, definitely the BB (though neither quite does it for me).
