Been searching for that style of hat and can't find it anywhere, G-Star don't seem to stock it anymore. I've signed up to thefedoralounge.com to ask there but have been waiting days for them to verify my account and let me post.

Anyone any clues?

Cheers!

What particular elements of this hat are you having trouble finding? The slightly rolled brim? Other than that it looks like it shouldn't be too hard to find, though you might have to do some customization on the bash. How about a Stetson Battery with the bash changed? It has the slightly rolled brim and the shape of a hat's bash is pretty manipulable.

I see. So if I buy a fur/wool hat its entirely malleable? Brim included?

Sorry I don't know much about hats, is what I'm looking for a stetson with a shortish brim then I can fashion it to look how I want?

allure: They are pretty shapeable, I don't know if I'd say they are malleable as once properly bashed, they tend to hold their shape.

I would say the hat that Crane's posted would be ideal, as it both looks more like the one you are after and apparently comes unbashed, allowing you to do more with it. I looked around the Stetson site, but somehow missed that one and recommended the one I did as the closest thing I could find.

It looks like a bashed homburg hat.

You can convert a wide brimmed homburg into a fedora if you take it to a decent hat person. I think that's what it looks like in that picture.
