I'm finally getting fed up with OTR clothing, poor quality, made in China, poor coloring that fads, etc. I want to start buying nicer quality clothing, but I cant afford custom made or anything. Is there anything in between the two?

I found out about one company Berg & Berg that looks good, any other recommendations?

BTW my preferred style is J.Crew-ish

www.tresbienshop.com

Start there. They carry a large selection of great stuff. Many, many more webshops as well of course, but that's a good place to look at things that aren't your typical mall brand garbage.

Just to clarify, recently I've been shopping almost exclusively at J.Crew and Banana Republic, but they just aren't cutting it, and although I can appreciate high end labels and fashion, I am looking for a store to replace J.Crew for high quality, fashionable basics.

And....? Did you click the link? If you want a physical storefront, it will depend entirely on where you live. If you want JCrew price points also, well too bad.

Yah, I looked, that seems like a good start. I don't need a physical store. And I am willing to pay a bit more then J.Crew prices if it is good quality and will actually last.

Just subscribe to "what are you wearing today" and "recept purchases" threads. You'll get a feel for what you like after observing for some time. Tons of info on this site, just browse various threads and read. It takes time, there's no one stop answer.
