I haven't seen a thread on this. With all of the interesting beers that everyone is posting in various threads I was wondering if anyone knew where I could purchase some of these online. I've never ordered alcohol online and wasn't sure either where to look or what the procedure is regarding the legal issues involved.

Where do you guys order your alcohol from?

Legal issues will vary based on your state. I suspect in WI, you can order whatever you want, ut check first.

Of course, I flip between NY and NC, and I'm pretty sure both prohibit it, so I can't give you sites.

JLay, you send me The Cow and I will send you anything you want from Colorado. Check online. I use wine.com to send wine to my tailor in Philly. I am sure that there must be a similar website for beer.

speak with your local beer retailer. They can usually get access to brands you are interested in. They work with distributors who have vast catalogues and can ship almost anything. The brands on the shelves are typically chosen by the retailer to sell quickly. They will gladly stock more brands if they perceive demand.

This can be a very efficient way to get access to new brands while supporting a local business. Don't be hesitant just because you might only be buying a case or two. Smaller volumes can still be important to a distributor.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
