I think Ive finally found my ideal boots, the right mix of style (they look nice), attitude (military-esque) and practicality (leather upper, rubber downer will get me around in the slush)

However, I cant seem to find them anywhere decently priced. At least also willing to ship to canada. Out of 2 places I can order them online, 1 ends up charging roughly 300 canadian after shipping and handling, and the other (shoebuy.com), hasnt had it in stalk in a month or more.

As for ebay, no such luck. Am I destined to be forced to run around in my combat boots?

Any help finding a place where I can buy them, or pointing out an alternative ( I wouldnt mind paying 300 even, for a similar buy better product), is much appreciated.

Thanks

I actually rather like them too.

I certainly wouldn't pay anything near to $300 for them, but if you could find them at a deep deep discount, I'd go for it. I have a pair of Rockport boots that I've been wearing just about all winter. They are tremendously comfortable, look good, and cost me $30 at Ross.

Why buy those?

Go down to your local military surplus store and get some Matterhorns, Bellvilles or Danners for approx. $100. Much better quality than Rockports!
