Hi style pros, newbie speaking here. I'm thinking of getting some knit sweaters, to wear with bootcut jeans like levi 527's and casual leather shoes. This look works right? Assuming it does, which brand should I get? I'm still in school so about $40 max is how much I can spend per piece, but less is always better. I'm thinking about J-crew, will that work? Also since I'm from Canada, is eBay the best option online? Thanks all.

If you're not looking for anything specific and your budget is that small, why not just go to actual stores? You live in Toronto so there are tons of places to check out.

If you're budget is only 40$ for a sweater, shopping online is not the best idea because shipping could come up to half of that + customs fees if you're buying from the US.

For that price, just check out H&M and Zara or Club Monaco on sale.

Toronto has interesting shops like Nomad and TNT Blu, but even on sale I didn't see anything really in that price range.

Ok, thanks. I actually was at H&M, but wasn't really satisfied with the material. I will go see what Zara and Club Monaco has. For interest's sake, where is Nomad or TNT Blue?
