How about a Panerai "homage"? I picked up one from an ebay seller a few years back. Not a bad watch for the price. Not Seiko quality, but can't argue with the price. Chinese version of Unitas 6498 movement keeps good time and easily adjusted. No relation to the sellers. for that price, you're looking at chinese mechanicals. don't think you will get much help here on that. but if you want a list of brands i can give you some.

My point was that it doesn't make it bad, nor 'less' than a handwind or automatic.
OP is not going to find a decent handwind for his budget...I've tried and failed in the past.

Do you know anything about automatic movement and mechanical movement wrist watches? A black leather strap is the least of your problems. You can get that anywhere. I think you need to do some research? You can start by checking out these watch forums:
