Tender Buttons was going to be my suggestion as well.
You could also try visiting your nearest thrifts/eBay to see what you can find. Peacoat buttons might be a challenge, but there are plenty of handsome vintage buttons out there. I bought a thrift coat not long ago, cut off the buttons and handed it back to the clerk to be baled and discarded. The coat had been a moth's meal, so at least I managed to give it one last use. And the whole set of buttons cost me a whopping 50 cents.
