Or maybe a quality seller on the Bay. The stuff is banned in the Netherlands, where I'm based, so not available.
Help me out gents.

Its kind of a broad choice, but for skin pelts I will tell you to steer clear of the sellers from Thailand, those skins suck. They are all hornback, and very low quality.

I cant think of a particular eBay seller who specializes in a general iGent assortment of skin selections, but your luck may benefit from searching "vintage alligator" and also crocodile. Ive got some grade A skins for a song in these searches.

You'll know a nice belly scale when you see it. Much of eastern asia and south america aren't sourcing that nice of hides.

Most of those nice belly hides will come from US alligator skins which are not listed endangered.

Crocodile can produce some nice skins, but there are a variety different species. Alligator is essentially just one type of species. Most crocodile aren't that desirable for hides, which is where the hornback hides mentioned. Big crocodile species such as the Nile Crocodile can rival alligator, but I believe those are endangered.

I know about that. I think Miami skins are used very much in quality products.

The one croc item I ordered from Thailand was a total fail however, I've been very pleased with everything that has come from Florida.
