Where to find nice top coat in New York

G'day gents,

I have one day in New York tomorrow and want to look for a good top coat for the winter. I would like something not too formal, slim cut and maybe with a slight military touch. In short something that works both with a suit and in more casual attire.

I've been eyeing a few Burberry Prorsum coats of this season but I'm not sure I want to spend more than 2000$, although some of their models are quite nice.

Cashmere would be great, but 100% wool would do, as long as it keeps me warm.

Any advice on where I should look?

Barneys or Saks should fit the bill - and I'd advise against cashmere and stick with wool or camel (although Oxxford's cashmere coats look sick)

Cucinelli? Isn't that 3000$ upwards?

Mario Caldi?

I'd try Rothman's on Union Square - more in the $1000 range.

Thanks for all the tips fellas.

I went ahead and popped by at burberry's on 57th.
Found a beautiful all wool grey/blue topcoat from their Prorsum line.

Spent a bit more than my initial budget, but hey, one only lives once.
