Anyone have any suggestions? No one I've contacted carries buttonhole gimp.

I could do with finding some too, though I'm in UK not NY. I've been trying to find anywhere online that sells it with no luck. All I can find is this, which looks more like button twist than gimp, especially since it says it can be used for top-stitching.

That's gimp for machine-made buttonholes- you can get Agreman gimp (by Gutermann) from RJW. I used to have the name of a source in NYC- I'll dig it up tomorrow.

Try Oshman brothers 88 Eldridge Street, New York City phone- 212 226-7448

If not, shoot me a PM, I can hook you up with the lady who is in charge of distribution of Gutermann products for the US, she'll get you sorted out. For general tailoring supplies, check out the Cutter and Tailor forum for a list of suppliers.
