There are many grosgrain watchstraps/watchbands out there in various color and patterns.

But the thing is I don't know where to find a watch to use these. Your advice will be appreciated.

I've been looking for a good horse for this cart.

Vintage military watches, such as those made by Hamilton during WWII, are great for this look. Many different watchmakers received contracts from the military to produce virtually the same watch. If you do not want to go vintage, one of these companies was Benrus, who now make a reproduction.

My girlfriend got me one for my birthday this year. It is a nice casual watch that you do not feel bad beating up a little, but I have still recieved a lot of compliments. I have been planning to get a few regimental stripe bands from a website mentioned in an earlier thread on this forum, but I first need to geet the proper tool.

Some folks like to pair grosgrain watchstraps with a Timex Easy Reader. The watches are quartz and are available though Amazon for about 25 bucks.

Cheers, Jim.
