I'm disappointed that nobody has mentioned Drago's. They have the best charbroiled oysters ever.

GW Fins has some good seafood.

If you go to Commander's, the bread pudding souffle is absolutely killer.

we enjoyed comander's palace. we had lunch there, and then took a walk in the neighood.

we had a very enjoyable meal at Emiril's delmonico

not a meal, but I recomend that you hit the WWII museum

Verti Marte on Royal St. The Po' Boys are off the chain. Anything off the menu at Camellia Grill on Carrollton Ave. The burgers are especially good. Go to d.b.a. on Frenchman St. It's a nice joint that often has some great local bands playing.

Camellia Grill can be a fun spot to hang out late at night. I've been there many times. But the food is no different than a diner in any town.
