Not sure about plain ones for sneakers but I get waxed laces from Dover Saddlery. They're great.

If you're passed the 5th grade you should be well able to buy a pair of shoelaces on your own...come on man they're just shoelaces this isn't a make or break style decision haha.

+1 on this question.

It's not such a simple task. First of all most places at a mall don't carry laces, or carry laces that are 54". Unfortunately, If you have mids like me, you probably need at least 63" laces to fit. Nextly, if you go online every 63" lace that I've found has a width that is too wide for common projects.

I bought a couple mids that I haven't been able to wear because the laces broke. Common projects doesn't really have customer service, and many retail stores agree on the fact that common projects isn't reliable for getting replacement laces.

I've found converse type ones, but their width is just too large.

You are all right that malls/shoestores suck, but there are some good options online depending on the brand of shoe you're trying to fit.

http://www.purpleshoelace.com

has a list of where to get different brands.  (I find google doesn't cut it for this question, although that lmgtfy link was kinda cool!)

Oh hai purpleshoelace.com shill guy who seems to be necrobumping idiotic where can I find shoelace threads.
