Hi guys, i will spend some days with friends in Vienna. Do you have some recommendations where i can find high-end stuff from Kiton, Attolini, Borrelli etc. What about shoes? Where can i find some Berluti's, maybe Bontoni as well? And last, is there any good restaurant which you can recommend? In this case it musn't be "la haute cuisine", i am looking more for a typical "vienna cuisine"! Thanks for your help...

For the brands mentioned, Knize (on the Graben) will be your safest bet.

Lot´s of shoes in the Austro-Hungarian style, if this is your cup of tea. Several places carry Vass and Ludwig Reiter. Balint is well worth a visit; his RTW range is great, too. Maftei, perhaps. Scheer, the Viennese John Lobb St. James, as some say, with prices to match. Go and see Ludwig Reiter at their Dreimäderlhaus location, if only for the architecture. It´s just a few paces away from Schuhmann, http://www.schuhmann.co.at/.

IIRC, Borgioli has a little shop in the Tegetthoffstrasse, a few meters from the Kaisergruft, which IMHO is a must-see. AFAIK, there´s no stockist for Berlutis or Bontonis in Vienna. A typical "Wiener Schnitzel" gets increasingly harder to find, but I´ll leave the culinary recos to my Viennese forum members. Vienna is my favorite city. Enjoy your trip.

Try Wilhelm Jungmann und Neffe in Albertinaplatz, or Niedersuss Gmbh
Annagasse 1/5, also agree re Knize.
