Where to buy hematite buttons?

I'm having trouble getting some actual hematite buttons. There are lots of beads, trinkets, etc out there (and even button covers), but no buttons - which surprises me, because I think they'd look stellar.

Any leads?

I have a friend who made some beautiful buttons out of stones for me. I had a few in hematite but hematite is quite delicate and the sleeve buttons got chipped quite easily.

Can you show us some of these buttons and send the name of your friend our way? Stone buttons sound awesome.

I'd agree they may be too brittle. I've had a couple of shirts with stone buttons and in each case hey eventually cracked/chipped.

Unfortunately my digital camera doesn't work (after an incident involving my dog and a swimming pool).

And my friend is located in India and probably doesn't have an email address.

Sorry for being so unhelpful
