Hey guys, new to the forums. I'm looking to buy a relatively inexpensive suit ($200) for upcoming interviews. I know european suit makers understand that fit is everything. I've browsed websites like next.co.uk but I hear the quality isn't great. My brother found a nice DKNY slim fit for aroun $160 at marshalls in Boston, but there isn't much where I live. I'm 6'2 about 180 w/ an ethletic built...size 40R...any idea on some inexpensive websites that can give me the look as shown in this picture?

Uniqlo in NYC or H&M. Maybe Zara too.

Great suggestions by music guy. I have bought and worn both H&M and Zara suits for when I first started working. Another article that might help. http://www.gq.com/style/wear-it-now/...ocross#slide=2 Express, Banana Republic, Uniqlo +J, J Crew, H&M, Perry Ellis Portfolio. These look like they're all in the $200-400 range.

Go online at Express.com. Look for their 20% or 30% off coupon they have almost every other month.

seriously?

you get slim fit from jos a bank?

They may be slim fit if you weigh as much as a cadillac.

I'd go easy on the slim fit for an interview suit, especially for a more conservative industry.

express is a decent choice if you don't mind poor quality.

Too bad....but when setting your budget for this suit, just remember - money ain't got no owners, only spenders - so spend away! Actually, it's probably better to keep your budget low for your first suit, find out what you like and what fits you, then gradually work up to higher quality stuff.

My arms are likely closer to 40L but I can pull off a 40R without a problem...The 40L body length doesn't fit me however...I'm looking to purchase a suit that won't need expensive alterations as my budget it somewhat tight. The Brooks Brothers factory outlet by my had a great deal, 2 suits for $500...but they catered to middle aged out of shape car salesmen. Such is life in upstate NY!

threedifferent.com has some Boglioli on sale. They are ridiculously cheap, very slim fitting and have outstanding (and I mean outstanding when I say it) quality of material and construction. I wish there were more of my size, I'd buy it all. The sizes are in EU, obviously. However, I cannot be certain that your 6'2" will work with their jackets. They are kind of short. Here's a jacket I got from them, and I'm 5'10": http://i.imgur.com/S4EVk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/R9Teg.jpg

Filene's basement or Sym's. Very low prices and can sometimes be half-decent quality. Went to a FB near me last week and there was a Adolfo in a very nice looking gray that was very soft and fit me exactly. It was $150 dollars. The truth really is 99% of people won't be able to tell the quality of your suit so long as it fits you well and you are comfortable in it. I would avoid the super slim European brands as they stick out in the office or at an interview in the bad way.
