it exists, does it not ?
but they don't have it here: all about lasts
Assuming you are talking about the last used on Lombard, Van Ness, etc., yes, I noticed that a while back.
I wear size 8D in the 5 last (Strand) but 8E in the 2 last (Van Ness). The 2 last fits me better because I have a low instep, whereas the 5 last is better for an average or slightly high instep, I think. Size 7.5E in 5 last might work better for me, but I've never had the chance to try.
Yes I'm refering to the 2-222 last these shoes are made from
I just got Strand 8D also. Now I regret a bit. I think I will avoid that last from now.
They weren't kidding when they said "...best for a long, narrow foot.". I wish they're a bit wider. I have to keep the eyelet tabs wide open.
Its a shame both lasts have such shitty toe box room, especially the 2 last.
why are all the AE fucktards creating new threads for every AE question? isnt there a hundred other AE threads? get your shit together guiz
New threads about AE should automatically be moved to their proper place, DT.
i like AE. i dont look down at AE or anything like that. Im not here to say that Alden or C&J is better than AE but I will say AE owners are some of the dumbest around. Just in the past week I have seen a handful of AE threads pop up. where has this last gone? how does this last fit? will this color AE shoe match my suit? really? someone needs to herd all of these AE threads into DT. Tatecloths has the right idea
E shoes are the "gateway drug" for many men venturing into fine clothing for the first time. It makes sense for a newb to post questions out of place in regards to AE as opposed to Lobb or Vass.
