Yeah this is resting at the joint, it hits about the same place when undone, if I only do it loosely up it starts covering the bottom of the hand. I wondered as when I went to an alterations tailor she said she thought the sleeve should be lower (when buttoned) but then I find it gets in the way.When my cuff is done up it rests at the joint between my wrist and hand. Undone it rests about halfway between my wrist and my thumb. The extra length helps prevent the sleeve from riding up too much when I raise my arm.
