Gently used from a reputable seller. No reason to buy new in today's Internet age.

These days the fakers are so good that they can reproduce a Rolex in every single detail.

So, If you want to invest on a real Rolex, buy it from an authorised dealer with a certificate of authenticity.

If you only want to display a rolex and save money..... get a good fake.

A fake rolex down to every detail? What would be materially 'fake' about it then? Buy used from a watch dealer if you're uncomfortable or better yet off the watch forum.

Buy from the DC dealer that nearly everyone on Timezone buys from. Contact the admin Keith for a rec.

thank you very much! Thats exactly where my person is from. There are just some people in this world who think retail is the only way to go and are afraid to look for a good deal.

I was heavy into watches and I know a lot of diamond district dealers. A lot. If you can get an authentic Rolex with papers and box at 30-35% off, buy them by the boatload, flip them at 10% off retail and make the 25%, that will be the best investment you can make. I will tell you that of the dealers I know, many who deal in big money stuff like Lange, Breuget etc, have told me to never buy a new Rolex outside of an AD. If you guys have that kind of legitimate hookup, you can clean up. I have seen many discounted "authentic" Rolexes with boxes and papers, serial numbers and the hologram and everything that when you open up have an ETA or worse, a chinese movement.

The DC dealer you guys are talking about deals in Omega's and the like, no Rolexes.

The movement for one. Rolex has a patented screw down crown that even the best fakes can't replicate, but sometimes you can't tell until you open the watch.

Yep, and you can get similar deals in Chicago's diamond district as well. But it's like buying plutonium, very hush-hush.

Yes, I agree that people should be apprehensive, alot of the people on 47th Street are scummy and quite frankly, crooks. But if you know someone, as I do, and you are paying cash, you can get a good deal. I mean, I'm getting like 30% off, but if someone were to offer you some crazy deal, like an "Audemars Royal Oak Brand New "for like $2k, don't be a moron.

And if you want to be 100% sure, don't pay with cash, use a credit card, preferably AMEX so if you bring it to, say, Tourneau and they say it is fake, then at least you can get your $$ back and put the assholes out of business, because the law doesn't look too favorably on that kind of ****.
