Where find a Neapolitan jacket ?

The Neapolitan / slack jacket

Considering that the blazer jacket is one of the most iconic pieces in any wardrobe, where should you turn to find the right garment and unearth that rare pearl? The answer is clear: the Italians. The same Italians who combine so well that subtle, natural blend of chic and casual that you often hear about: sprezzatura.

So if anyone knows where I can find a Neapolitan jacket as beautiful as the one in the photo, please let me know. ;)

Honestly I'd look at Zara or Massimo Dutti or the like, as it is just the super short super tight jacket that is very trendy right now. It is certainly not classic Napolitan tailoring. Judging the jacket in the picture it might even be MTM or bespoke as the fit around the armhole seems excellent and the rolled up sleeves look clean. But I would not waste my money on such a project which will look dated soon.

That jacket is not classic Neapolitan in the traditional style of a maker such as Attolini.

Years ago I used to follow these Instagram accounts that always posted pictures of these models in super short tight jackets such as in the picture above. The sooner I stopped following and trying to mimic these and adopted a more classic personal style the better.

No one ever looked good with a suit jacket or blazer that didn’t cover their rear end. No one.

That jacket in the picture is obviously a RTW. Armhole you can see machine stitching on the seams....
