1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

The Chaine is an international gastronomic society; there are chapters all over the world -- even in Texas! Here's a link to the U.S. society http://www.chaineus.org/index.htm

The French name threw me off. Sounds awesome; wish we had something like that around these parts.

That's kind of my point. People used to wear them to the Opera, or the Philharmonic. These days, the only time I hear about people getting tuxed up is for the odd black tie wedding, or black tie corporate event, both of which are becoming less and less frequent.

Are you kidding, it's hard enough to find a resurant that's not "business casual" where you can wear a suit without feeling way overdressed (overdressed is OK, way overdressed can be weird).
