Hey everyone. I'm sick of going to malls looking for cool t shirts and not being able to find anything. It's pretty rare that I find a T shirt that I like and I was wondering where you guys go to buy yours.

Thanks alot and I'm looking forward to your comments.

I'm not really a T shirt sort of guy - I would rarely wear a T shirt as a top on its own, preferring a SS polo under those circumstances, and sometimes I'll wear a t shirt under a v neck top. So most of mine are just plain, mostly white. Having said that I did go by a retail outlet and pick up a few T shirts that I thought were fun - they have a monkey motif in the style of the chinese 'monkey king' legend along with the magic cloud etc. I like that sort of thing because I was born in the year of the monkey. Probably not very trendy nor gets much in the way of street -cred.

buy your shirts online, from one of four stores. trust me (there are a ton of online sites to purchase from, but i stick to these four)

www.nordstrom.com go to the rail section

www.activeendeavors.com lots of cool tshirts

www.neimanmarcus.com pricier, higher end ts from diesel, juicy, etc.

www.urbanoutfitters.com large selection, only a couple that i like but they expand their stock a lot. favorite tshirt is the blue one with the faded union jack flag.

Thanks alot guys. Probably my 2 of my 3 favorite shirts are from Urban Outfitters, but they are also the only 2 shirts I have bought from them. I don't like most of what thye have but every once in a while i see something i love.

BDG is my favorite brand from there. Their shirts fit me very well.

Edit: I just went to active endeavors and I love some of their shirts. Too bad they're all $45+ =(

i second threadless, i have maybe 7 or 8 t's from them. I enjoy graphic design so the shirts are fun topics of conversation. Usually i have something over them, but im certainly not adverse to shorts and a T during the summer months.
peace,

Non-printed shirts; American Apparel. Printed, I have one that I got from the Cloak Sample Sale, the rest are ones that I've made and sell.

what do you guys think of this:

Also, what else do you like from that site?

I actually like that one. I like that it's not trying to be clever, involves no text, uses unusual colors and basically is very non-threadless-esque.

Get some American Apparel plain tees. Learn to use color and not rely only on clever text or printing to add interest to your outfits, and you can pull off a much more sophisticated look.

Where should I go to learn to use color?
