I'm in Los Angeles today and tomorrow and would like advice on where to try on Crockett and Jones shoes. I'm planning to place an order via plal.com, but want to get the sizing right.

Any suggestions?

Turnbull & Asser in NYC has a Crockett & Jones concession within the premises. Perhaps the same arrangement exists in the LA Turnbull & Asser.

Turnbull and Asser in BH has the full line of Handgrades and some benchgrade too upstairs. I bought a pair of hangrades there last year for about $700. They also are going to be selling suits again soon - was in there the other day and saw some of the samples, appear very well made and decently priced at around 2800.

oh, and Barney's in BH no longer carries C&J. Saks next door now has EGs though...

+1 on T&A in B.Hills.
I forget the Brit's (Store Manager) name - possibly David. Super nice guy and extremely helpful.

Thanks! The Barneys here is Barneys CO-OP so they don't have Crockett and Jones. I'll try to check out Turnbull and Asser.

Perhaps try a Ralph Lauren store?

The problem with the Ralph and Barney's C&Js though is that they're listed in US sizes.
The Barney's ones are at least marked with the last.

Beware.....C&J also makes a line specifically for US feet, which you shoe hounds will immediately detect. As told to me by Cynthia Barnard, the manager in the NYC shop, the US line is wider and to my eyes, less graceful. To the OP, I'm sure anything you may want from PLAL will be on display and available for try-on. Hope the US dollar to the Malay Ringgit works in your favor.
