1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Blinde catalog @ opticalshopinternational was a great call. I am partial to the "Lots A Luck" frames myself. I too hope they deliver in the US. Hmm.

i just purchased some wayfarer style glasses, thicker than the ones shown for as site called Warby Parker. Overall i am happy with the glasses, and they are inexpensive, only $95 that includes prescription and shipping. they also have a decent selection size. it is defiantly worth a look.

i bought the Huxley frames (shown below)

Where can one find these types of glasses, but with regular clear glass lens??

I have perfect vision, I just want the look for fashion.

Oh, come on, there are so many vintage/retro glass frame sites nowadays. Plus you could go to a decent, independent eyeglass/optometry place and they could find them for you. Why is this so hard?

They look like little mini wayfarers or something. I've seen similar frames but they're usually much wider. Any ideas?

Warby Parker has some similar frames. They sell their glasses for $95 with lenses included. I own the Roosevelt frame in striped chestnut and love them.

Glassesshop.com has a ton of inexpensive eyeglasses that you can orderly directly from their website--all you need is your prescription.

These Folding 5919-2 Acetate Glasses look like what you're looking for: http://www.glassesshop.com/Glasses/Folding5919-2.html

You can even upload your photo to the website and "try on" the glasses digitally.

Those frames are a rip off of a Wayfarer and Persols. I wouldn't support a company like that.
