Im looking for this scarf, or one similar in idea (bright, rigid pattern, not all one colour or overly floral design)

I'm having such a hard time to find scarves like this, especially ones both high quality and willing to ship to canada. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This seems like a fairly common design.

Pretty sure I've seen something like this at Banana Republic or one of those stores and J. Press.

J.Press does in fact have a scarf that I would absolutely love to have......
Unfortunately; Its an oft repeated item on the T.V. show Gossip Girls. As such, the uniqueness of it is not so great, and has lost its charm.

As for BR, nothing really their, and what is, is poor quality compared to what I want. (Cashmere or Silk are my preferences)

That looks like a university or school scarf, which you should be able to find online quite easily, especially for US schools. Whether you'd be comfortable wearing the colours of an institution you didn't attend is, I suppose, your own call, though I think these scarves are more easily identified than regimental ties, and mildly embarrassing encounters could theoretically ensue...

Saw this exact pattern at Banana Republic on clearance last Thursday when my GF was clothes shopping.

Im from Canada, and the whole university scarf thing isnt nearly as popular. However, I do want to avoid confusion and any resentment wearing it might cause. However, I still really like the brighter coloured scarves. Like I said, BR isnt that hard to find decent ones, however, Id like to buy an actual nice one.

I wouldn't worry about offending anyone, just pick an obscure institution, also several institutions often have very similar scarves, particularly in red/blue/white so it would be forgiveable. As far as I can tell many American labels, just hijack British school/university paraphernalia/crests/colour schemes wholesale and no one seems to be bothered - Although Eton and a few others did talk about trying to sue RL recently.

These kinds of scarves have been around forever and certainly pre-date Gossip Girl. If you like it, you can get it and know you will be able to wear it long after the show is gone. You can even claim you bought yours before the show made it popular and that the show is just copying you - I'll back you up on that.
