As stated in the title " "

I'm looking for a simple black wool overcoat that ends around the waist level. Gilt sells out too quickly and the quality of the products have dropped as of late.

Thanks

what you're describing is not an overcoat.

Try the J Crew University coat............should do the trick based on what you're describing.

If what you have in mind is DB, I think it is called a pea coat.

you're right, but that's not what I mean either.

OP wants an overcoat..........longer than hip length, usually hits at the knee or slightly above.

So according to you, what the OP is describing is not an overcoat, but he's asking for an overcoat? WTF?

OP is asking for a peacoat or a car coat.

Why the obsession with buying online? Do you live in Harveyville, Kansas? I got my current overcoat at Burlington Coat Factory. Calvin Klein wool/cashmere, three hacking pockets, fits great, $149. Don't overthink this.

I'm pretty sure he's looking for a single breasted pea coat. That seems to be a popular trend lately.

Well, J Crew has some overcoats, pea coats, trench coats,... for <$500. Banana Republic has some nice pieces too.

Your first post reflected this. Your second post claimed that the poster wanted an overcoat. The two posts were contradictory.
