1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What about skinny black ties from Paul Smith, Boss, Band of Outsiders or Dior Homme? Where can I buy those online?

PC has a silk one at www.hejfina.com or maybe on the www.apc.fr site (too lazy to check), about $78

    www.stevenalan.com has a cool black wool one. $77. (2 1/2")

    www.agnesb.com has a 2 1/2" one for 118.

Those should set you up nicely.

I have a silk Grosgrain Band of Outsids one (2.75 inches, I think) originally from Barneys that I got at Filene's Basement for $20 or so [IMG] Originally $100 or something ridiculous.

What is considered normal tie width? What is considered skinny?

3.5 inches should fall into "normal" range wherever you go. 2.75 inches or less often will be called "skinny."
