Guys, going to Aruba this week, and since I just found out I have to go to California for work Mon-Wed, I will have no time to buy stuff for the trip except today (hopefully pre-Super Bowl). Any place that sells bathing suits now in February? I don't want designer ****. I just want a pair of under-stated, normal bathing trunks.

Stupid thread, I know, but where else can I axe this kind of question?

Designer is fine, I just don't want to be spending a lot of money on something like bathing suits. I'm very particular on what I spend big on (business attire, jeans).

What kind of price points were you thinking for the designer?

If you don't want to spend a bunch, why not go to a discounter and pick up a plain pair of Nike bathing suits?

I was hoping for something a bit more neutral/prep.

I got some trunks from saks that were like $200.

I don't remember what they were.

I had a pair of Holliday & Brown for Prada once. But they didn't fit, and were not understated.

RL has some nice preppy suits for under 200. I just picked up an etro one for 180 and a Prada Sport on for 190. Barneys and Saks have a good selection. Bergdorfs if you want more traditional/conservative.

I heard good things about Parke and Ronen but I've never been.

It looks like they can be quite snug...some of the pictures are quite revealing. I would probably head towards the 8" shorts.

Possible NSFW.

This thread is 8 months old and was bumped by a spammer. I already got a bathing suit at J Crew.
