Seriously guyz,

I remember the days when the RL custom fit polo on sale was $35 from the website. Now it is $50 on sale. Give me a break. ****'s worth like $25.

However I really like the fit and the fabric is nice and slightly rough which I like. Also no shrink is key (the major downfall with Lacoste).

So anyway - the $1MM question: where can I get these babies at under $50? Do the Polo Outlets carry these? In normal colors and sizes? I am a medium and do not like to wear rainbow stripe polos with giant flags on them. In other words, that XXXXL big pony won't do.

So are there still sales that mark these down to less than $50? Do the outlets have them at deeper discount? Do other stores? I don't recall C21 having mediums in custom fit but that may have changed. Is eBay an option (for the real thing)? Or is this one of those brands that is faked 95% of the time?

Thanks.

I think there will be a F&F coupon coming up very soon.

Don't know, but I'm interested in hearing what others say about what the outlets offer. For most other stores (Gap, J. Crew, etc.), the outlet stuff is crap specifically made cheaper for the outlet consumer, i.e., it's not the same as what's in the regular retail stores. Is this true for RL Polo too?

Great news. Do you know the rough timeframe for when the sale happens? I forget.

Also, I assume the F&F discounts below the current "sale" price of $50. Is this correct, generally?

They had an F&F sale last month, which they rebranded this year as the "Give in Style" sale. It was 25% off as I recall (with 10% of proceeds going to a charity).

Maybe they'll do another one?

The outlets do sell custom fits, and I remember getting a couple of polos on deep discount (less than 50). However, it has been several months. Also, in my experience, the gap in quality between Polo outlet and mainline is not as noticeable as, say, Jcrew or Banana. I have custom fits from online as well, and can't tell a difference (but I'm no expert).

rl outlets tend to get much more mainline stuff than other companies who make lines specifically for the outlet market. there's plenty of rrl and sometimes even purple label at deep discounts albeit in random sizes.

Ive seen all kinds of custom fit and classic fit polos at outlets for $40.

There was no difference between them and retail that I could see.

Yea I can't tell a difference between the polos at outlets and retail stores either. I went to an outlet about a month ago and they always have sales like where if you buy 2 or more they are $35 each.

This. They always have custom fit polos and I have found PL and BL there on more than one occasion.

I can never find the sizes I want/the colors I want for some reason at the outlets. In my experience, at least by me, TJ Maxx/Marshall's tend to run cheaper than the outlets, especially if you're a Custom Fit XS

I always dig on the sales rack of my local Bloomingdales and find Custom Fit oxfords for about $39-49. Usually the colors no one wants like a lime or bright pink stripe, but last month I found a regular blue oxford and was ecstatic.

Cool - sounds like the RL Custom Fit Polos can be found in reasonable colors at the outlets in size Medium. Will check it out. BTW - do the outlets ship if you call and tell them the color/size?
