For some reason it pisses me off when people include the weight of the barbell.
You lift the barbell, don't you?
Haha I know, but EVERYONE lifts the barbell so including it seems kind of pointless. It's the weight of the plates that is really meaningful...
Do you include the weight of the barbell or just the total weight of the plates?
Shoot, i add the barbell the clamps and about 40% to what i can actually lift. I need all the help I can get! And i swear the plates at my gym are heavier than any otherv gym!
Why would you not count the bar?
In all seriousness, used to be a heavy lifter back in the day and competed in a couple of amateur powerlifting competitions. They counted the bar in the total weight. So i say count the bar.
