    Nice shoes Mister.
The posters above said to buy a navy suit and white shirt. What part of that do you not understand.
Grey is passable but blue is better, that's why they said Navy not grey!!

^^^ I just looked nice lol. So Navy it is! I did a little research on the styles and types of shoes to go with and i know brown is the most preferred color for most.

And maybe with a blue or navy pattern tie? I forgot to mention it is semi formal/casual and it starts at 4pm

The issue isn't that a black shirt is unnacceptable, the issue is that it looks bad.

The shoes seem passable and inoffensive; are BR shoes still made by Clarks? If so, those may last a several years before becoming beaters.

I prefer charcoal to navy, but both are a safe bet. In a bind, you could always try and pass of the navy suit jacket as a blazer...so I guess navy has that over grey. And there's nothing wrong with wearing black shoes with navy. Regardless, now is an excellent time to buy a suit. With a white shirt, either color will be easy to match with a tie. Just keep the tie simple, avoid loud geometric patterns, bright colors, and anything shiny.

And the guy in the picture looks terrible with that shirt

I just dont want to be overdressed or under dressed. I was even considering a dark charcoal suit with a white button up with no tie. Since this wedding is more of a casual wedding. The groom is like.. 27 years old so allot of his friends + younger crowds are going to be there. I kinda left that detail out when i made this thread. Im kinda leaning more towards like a dark charcoal color.

Either a navy suit or a charcoal suit with a white button up would be perfectly fine. Wear a tie. You could always
take the tie off once you get there if the wedding turns out to be as casual as you think it might be.

At a wedding, it is incredibly rare that you will be out of place in a suit and tie. It is what you should be wearing- period. Coat and tie at the very least. You're an adult now, you're gonna need some grown up clothes for occasions like this. Get yourself a navy or charcoal suit, a decent white shirt, and a couple classic ties. You may not need them that often, but when you do, you'll have what you need.

Bought a dark charcoal grey suit from Banana. Wearing a plain white button up. I would of went with the Navy suit but i didnt want to go thru the hassle of trying to return my current shoes and trying to find brown shoes. Next on my list is a Navy suit tho.

    Nice!

By the way, I think you made the right choice. I prefer gray.

Charcoal suit looks good. Those socks are a bit on the distracting side for a wedding, I would go with a solid darker color instead.

For some reason, not a fan of that tie either. With a white shirt, would go either a dark red/burgundy or navy/mid-blue tie, with less distracting stripes.
