E McAllister was introduced long ago right? And then it was discontinued. And now it's in the Timeless collection. Does anyone know the first period when McAllister was introduced? Thanks.

From the AE website A full brogue wingtip balmoral with sophisticated details, the McAllister was first introduced in 1956 and quickly became a best-selling shoe."

According to two different links on google, 1 a review on Zappos (quotes mid 1950s) and the other a link for a site that no longer exists...shoe-store.net (1956)
