When waiting in the room to board your flight, can you tell who rides 1st class?

For flights longer than 3 hours I always fly business, at 1st for long haul and the only thing I care about when looking around the lounge is if there are any kids who will be screaming.

I was on the jetway behind Sean Michael Murray (sp?) and his girlfriend. I didn't know who he was but all the teenage girls on the plane looked like they were about to faint when he walked by. They sat in coach.

There are partners at my firm who make over $500k per year who fly coach because that's all the client will pay for. There are people who make $50k per year whose job requires them to fly a lot who amass a ton of frequent flyer miles that allow them to upgrade to first class. There are contractors who make a ton of money and show up for a flight in track suits or jeans that fly first class.

To be able to say that you can just look at someone and figure out if they are going to fly first class or not is marsupialed.

Watching people is fun. I do this every time I'm in the airport if I'm not with someone else and if I am then I get them into it as well. I don't know if I've ever tried to guess who's going to be in first class, I usually just try to spot those that have found real denim.

I agree. There is no ******* way I'm riding in the cattle car for any length of time over 3 hours. You wind up getting to your destination cranky and miserable.
