when to wear a TWEED SUIT

I live in San Francisco and I'd like to wear my 3 pc tweed suit.
I know I can wear it during the winter while mucking around down town, other than this I don't know when or where I can wear it......... Help......

I should make this more clear, can I wear the tweed suit to dinner or the ballet?

This is absolutely the case, unless you are from the continent, in which case, for some, it becomes any day ending in G.

the problem is they are too hot in just about any indoor environment in the first world. They should be popular in subtropical places that lack central heating.
