When are you supposed to put the trees back in your shoes?

Right after wear? Wait until they dry?

As soon as they come off of the feet.

Some say you should wait until shell "cools down" before inserting trees, but if I wait, I forget; thus, I put all my trees in immediately after wear for both shell and calf.

Doesnt it seem wrong to take a day's sweat and seal it off immediately? Many shoe trees appear stained and polished, how are they going to soak up the sweat instead of turning the shoes into stinkers?

Do you all keep shoe trees in all your shoes? Just certain shoes?

Buy natural aromatic red cedar wood shoe trees and they will absorb moisture and leave a clean fresh aroma.

DV I keep trees in 90% of my shoes.

If the shoes are excessively wet fill them with paper first, otherwise let the shoe trees soak it up.

Pretty much whenever they're not on my feet. And I think if they're cedar instead of metal or plastic they'll help the shoes dry faster.

I also sand mine once a year to refresh the cedar smell and it makes them more effective at soaking up moisture.
