When two rules collide, I feel free to ignore them both

(I disavow the last rule, however, and frequently disobey the first). So I would wear (a) cordovan or (b) very dark brown shoes, such as EG's dark oak, in place of black shoes. I do this frequently when I decide to wear a navy blazer and charcoal trousers in the evening (When I travel, I usually don't have black shoes with me, but I usually have a pair of cordovan shoes because the color is so versatile).

BTW, is the first rule "black shoes at night" or "no brown shoes at night"? If the latter, then my cordovan shoes are totally appropriate.

Think about the harm you've done.

I don't get it. I'm as much of a Commie as Francois Mitterand.

Gee...
I don't suppose the tablet said anything about number of sleeve buttons on a blazer/odd jacket or orientation of sleeve buttons. That could be helpful right now on the "other side".

You are right, to be more precise, I should have said "So you collaborated with the Nazis?" I did not mean to imply that either you or Mitterrand was actually a Nazi.

As I have said before, it seems to depend on which religion you belong to at birth.
