If in the US, hemming is free on unfinished bottoms but ~$9 hemming finished bottoms.
I bought a pair of Country Club chinos Boxing Week, they were a tad long in case I wanted to wear low/no heel loafers and I had them shortened 1/2". They were backed up in the alterations dept, but they didn't charge me for the job. The chinos were 25% off that week.
Milano Chinos on the cheap
How long did you wait before getting them shortened? Or did you shorten them the same day you bought them?
I almosted bought this suit, but hesitated when I read it was gray and not blue. Let me know how it turns out.
Was anyone able to find a definitive answer on who makes the Pearl & Co lightweight shoes?
The posts here and in other threads go back and forth between C&J and Loake...
I almost bought this suit too and now it's back up to $1098. If I'm remembering correctly, it was like 40% off in the clearance section, right? Right now they're 2 for $1600. I wonder if this stacks w/ the corporate 15%? Might have to ask my SA.
does anybody know the maker of this Distressed Suede blucher ? Any comments on construction and/or quality? Thanks in advance....
That is a cool looking summer shoe. It looks like AS to me which is pretty decent quality--especially if had on sale. And by decent I mean AE or better.
Those are most likely Loake.
yes, already planning for the semi-annual event ; something for S/S casual wear
that's what I thought
Thank you both...

Not really sure of how the discounts work here. Anyone have additional info?
Regarding price normalcy post 2008 and BB discounts, this is the BB web page from December 2005, courtesy of the Internet Archives Wayback Machine:
Steep discounts have been the norm at BB for awhile now, though i think you are very much correct that they are more frequent and aggressive post financial meltdown.
