They shrink but not very much. After a bunch of washings/dryings they get softer and softer and seem to fare better than trad cotton IMHO. Actually the three non irons I got over two years ago are holding up better than my classic cotton xtra slim fit I got six months ago. They treat the non iron cotton in formaldehyde and a few other compounds before they make them so it's probably best to limit long term exposure... Read that in the new Yorker a while ago.

All this said, I picked up classic cotton again because I prefer to get mine cleaned and pressed (they do a far better job than I do).

Well, I finally got ahold of my friendly SA and fixed my shoe order to brown. It seems the black had already shipped out though so I don't know if I going to be getting two pairs.

Back to cotton shirts. I wash and dry all of mine including some $350+ ones with no problem. Sending them out to get cleaned has caused much more damage.

The beauty of non-treated cotton is that it gets softer with washing (think of your sheets). At least light colored shirts usually get stained before they wear out. Bedsides, I still think the non-iron needs to be ironed after washing so it kin of defeats the point.

But then, I don really baby any of my stuff and I consider cordovan to be a good snow boot so take what I say with a grain of salt.

What method do you using when washing your shirts? Are you putting them into the dryer after the washing machine or hanging them to dry?

Lastly, I need some suggestions. I can't get a good match from the internet. What color shirt would look better with charcoal suit; the light blue or the blue?

p.s. if you have any suggestions for slim ties please post them. thanks

No method. I just throw everything in the washer and set to whatever the normal cycle is. then everything goes in the dryer until dry.

Since I iron my shirt anyway, I'm thinking of switching from the non-iron to the regular slim fit shirts.

Not sure how you can wash out the non-iron...isn't it the case that they process the cotton in formaldehyde or something...changing the make up of the material?

Am I an idiot, or is this an EG sole?
At $280 after the additional 20% off, it's a steal. Am I an idiot?

Yeah...I wonder if this is going to be like the Shoebacca incident or the RL Corben incident.

I sort of suspect the latter and probably won't cop.

Read the threads for great amusement. The shoebacca thread is short enough to go through.

Shoebacca = $131 Edward Greens that were mislabeled as Allen-Edmonds. Turned out to be Edward Green.
Corben = $325 Edward Greens that turned out to be junk.

I suspect it involves the selling company attaching wrong pictures in their product description (in this case soles), SF members continuously ejaculating as they go on a buying frenzy, only to later realize that deals that are too good to be true, are probably not true.
