No, they appear to have removed all stacking other than the Day-After-Christmas kicker and the discount for opening a credit card.
The Friends & Family discount stacks (when that happens), but you are correct that there is no stacking right now except for the credit card opening discount.

Thoughts on this?

I bought two suits from a BB retail store about a month ago (one had to be ordered from another store). I allowed their in-house tailor to alter them. Upon getting the suits home, I noticed that one jacket had a small rip near the bottom (perhaps where the vents were sewn shut). The tailor had marked the rip with chalk but apparently did not communicate this to the store or they didn't notice or something.

Anyway, I bring it back and the clerk begins filling out a form for the tailor. I told him that the jacket just needs to be replaced, to which he responded "If the tailor can fix it, we'll just fix it. That's what they do, fix things."

The store manager (usual guy I work with) is out of town, so I just said to have him call me and left at that for now. But please tell me I'm not being crazy by expecting to receive a NEW suit in new condition, without repaired rips or tears!? I cannot foresee a 'fix' that I'll be satisfied with.

If it's an actual rip, it should be replaced. Can you post a pic?

I'm old enough to remember when Brooks had two, two-week sales each year, when we eagerly awaited the huge, 25% discount on some staples and selected seasonal items. The stores were (relatively speaking) madhouses, but you put up with it because you knew there wasn't going to be another sale for six months. Now, if you miss the sale, you can just wait a week or two, and they'll be another.

As a result, I was just looking through the sale items and decided there's nothing I really want to buy (at this price). Don't get me wrong -- there's lots of nice stuff, but it's just that, due to a combination of ever-rising prices and ever-increasing mark-downs, I generally only buy during the clearance events (60-80% off). There are exceptions -- some staples and some must-have items -- but for the most part, if you wait long enough, it's probably going to be cheaper (albeit with less selection). Not that we're ever likely to go back to the old sales paradigm, but which would you prefer?

BB "sale" these days are nothing but a way to get rid of their non-popular inventory. I don't even blink at 30% off since that's just the same as CIS which happens 4 times a year. BB name is going downhill but they're still making money by slowly rising prices and do "sale" every week.

Also, I was at a BB outlet today and saw decent amount of the Gatsby shirts for $45... label is $150 msrp.

When was the last corporate discount sale? How much does it usually go for? Anyone have experience using it on EG stock?

Thanks!

30% off, works on all regular priced items including eg and alden.

There have been about 5-6 corporate sales in the last year. The last one was in late May. Nothing scheduled yet so probably wont be one in July or August.

Awesome, thanks for the information. I'm still trying to see if BB can get me EG in 6.5/7E. So far no luck :(

Just to update, I heard back from the store manager who said he agreed the rip could definitely not be repaired and the suit would be replaced. So that's that.

Yes and no. Clearance section can go as high as 50-60% off but sizes are very limited. I will say tho that Red Fleece stuff are always discounted heavily on clearance since they're not hugely popular line for BB. I think partly due to everything RF are extra-slim fit / milano fit with the jackets/shirts and pants. Black fleece are better quality than regular BB but they're pretty overpriced IMO. 40% off BF is not rare occurrence. I bought a BF linen shirt for 60% off clearance as well.
