There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Got mine too. Anyone have any luck last go around getting an SA to apply it to the 2 for $1700 suits? If so, I would do that in a heartbeat. It isn't that much better than the just missed 30%. If not, I don't know what I'm going to get - maybe a Filson duffel.

It is a line item discount so I don't think that would work. Best case, a SA may apply it to one of the suits for $1700, but I wouldn't count on it.

Are the codes on the card a long, unique number? Sometimes they're just a short, four- or five-digit code that are clearly not unique.

I got the 40% card in the mail today, which is April 1 when the envelope says "Postmaster: Please deliver on 3/27/2014 - 3/31/2014", but stuff happens with the mail. I get it. What really sucks is that last Friday, 3/28, I bought an 1818 Fitzgerald suit during the preferred customer event and only got the 15% discount. Had I known this coupon was already in the mail, or had it been delivered to me on 3/27 or on 3/28 before I went down to the BB store, I would've held off so I could've saved an additional $250, as I think any rational human being would've. The back of the coupon says it can't be used on previous purchases, so would it be at all likely that the SA would apply it for me at this point? I would feel kind of bad asking because he did give me a bit of a break on the cost of alterations after I asked if there was any way he could extend me the 25% discount that was going on for cardholders, and his manager said no. Maybe that was bad form to begin with (I didn't think so because I've spent a decent amount of money there over the years), so I don't want to come off as unappreciative or rude. On top of that, I'm not sure if he would stand to lose any commission from applying the 40%. I would certainly feel bad about that.

It never hurts to ask. You might have an understanding SA. But every single SA in my local brooks brothers is an a$s. I honestly don't know if that is the type of image that the store manager wants for his store or what, but I HATE going to my local BB.

Yep I agree with the other sentiments on BB employees. They must work on a pretty steep commission because the vast majority are beyond terrible with service and try to take as many clients on at the same time. I found one in my local BB, but the rest of them are horrendous. Even trying to call up other stores could be very time consuming when playing orders for items only available in other stores. It is clear corporate does not have a good system in place as do RL which is a shame since I almost never wanted to go to a BB store before I met one of the only good employees

My BB sales associate is very good. I usually email her a week before visiting the store to tell her what I'm looking for and give her merchandise # from the website to see if they have them in stock. If they do not have the item in stock, she'll order it for me and tell me when to come in. The other day, I emailed her and told her I had the 40% off coupon and needed a charcoal suit in Regent fit. She'll go through the stores inventory of Regent fit suits in my size and hold them for me and order whatever they do not have and pull a couple others that she thinks I might like. She's done this several times. She held 10 suits for me during the last corporate sale day and I ended up buying 3. She's fantastic.

FWIW, mine is terrific - goes above and beyond consistently and is remarkably tolerant of my "if you give an inch, I'll take a mile" style of bargaining. Of course, I'm in the store often enough and drop enough money that everyone there (including the manager) knows me on a first-name basis . . .

On Canal St.? I agree, they are very good! I normally stay at the Windsor Court when visiting and will drop by BB to browse when the wife is doing her thing!

I visit so I can go to Commanders Palace for the $.25 cent martini lunch. :D There are 3 direct flights a day from DC and my wife loves NO. I love to eat and drink but its become much more expensive these days but it good to see it coming back strong. Cochon and Jaques Imos are my favorite places!

If you like the lunch at Commanders you absolutely should try a long slow lunch at Galatoire's one Friday afternoon. Get there around 1:00 and plan to stay until 4:00. Just sit back and take it all in-- like nowhere else on earth. I'd tell you to dress the part, but this is Styleforum, so you've got that covered.

Just picked up two staple navy and charcoal suits during the last corporate sale... Is there any way to pick up an extra pair of trousers for each suit? (Fitzgerald fit, just the basic navy and charcoal fabric)

Probably MTM program, but it would be upcharged and pricy.

Picked up my BB-Alden cordovan cap toes today. I took the E width since D were too tight on the sides even before I laced them up.

Quality/workmanship is not at the same level as my Peal & Co for sure, but the price certainly reflects this since these are about half as much.

The stitching was not all the way in the groove on the soles, but it doesn't matter since I've already decided to put topy on.
