BBBF S/S Sale is on. Most stuff is 50% off.
Just received my ESF OCBDs all in size 14 1/2 32. Washed all, but found out the yellow one's sleeves are 1" longer than the blue. They are supposed to have the same sleeve length.
Have any of you seen this issue before?
Yes, exchange them. How's he fit? Lot of extra material in the back huh?
Hmmm, I head a lot of people say this about BB ESF dress shirts, but I haven't noticed too much extra material in the back. If anything, I've noticed that there seems to be more extra material in the lower back than in the upper back as their shirts don't seem to taper at all.
Haven't noticed too much extra fabrics in the back, maybe a couple of inches of extra. I really like the fabric, heavy and well made. Thought they are really wrinkled out of the dryer.
It really depends on who is doing the complaining...
Some people expect slim to mean highly tapered, e.g. broad shoulders and thinner waist (the "athletic" build). Others expect slim to mean narrow all the way from the shoulder to the waist, with limited taper. Of course the two groups will need different shirts.
Not sale related but the new slim cords and pants featured online are just as slim as my Nudie Grim Tim's...
I see that the Golden Fleece suits jumped from $1,700 to $1,900, which means they'll probably never go below $1050 on even the best sale day. Can't say that I would pick up a GF suit if I was paying $1K for a suit as there are better options at that price.
Could get a Samuelsohn suit in that price range. The GF suits are nice, but can find better at that price range.
The 1818 suits jumped up $100 too, except the basic year round fabrics.
I was waiting for the next big sale to get an 1818 Fitzgerald suit in gray. Are there any better options I should be looking at?
Wow! You're right. Thats ridiculous. The suits aren't worth that much. They are half canvassed! C'mon!
I'm really liking that quilted blazer for fall. I just refuse to buy it without a sale/coupon code. sigh.
^ i like it too. dont normally wear blazers but i would make an exception for the quilted blazer
BB has the most awesome customer service/returns at corporate level. I had a variety of dress shirts I bought over the last year that were still wrapped, stored in my closet, and realized recently I should be sizing down a necksize (these were all 15.5 but I sized down to 14.5/15). I basically sent them 8 shirts bought at different time points either in store or online over the last year, half without receipts and they had no problem with crediting me. Fairly fast too. 1 week after sending the package of random shirts in, I got a nice giftcard for ~ $500 in the mail!
Unfortunately, I still dread going into their storefronts b/c I find their reps rude or unhelpful in general (at Century City and Rodeo/BH). But their corporate center and phone customer service is beyond amazing.
