I'm currently in the getting to know stages of a girl from one of my classes. She's a foreign student who's been in the states for 3 years from Vietnam. When we talk, there are many times when she has no clue to what I'm talking about. Even when I try to explain a simple phrase or concept to her, she still has the deer in headlights look.
She doesn't initiate anything when we hang out, I'm always the one figuring out stuff to do. All she does it go to work at a cafe and go straight home. Occasionally I like to eat raw food such as oysters and sushi, but this girl is totally against raw food. The dislike of raw food is an Asian FOB thing, due to the lack of hygiene in preparation of food. Knowing that there is a cultural and language barrier I'm wondering if I should call it quits or be patient and try to sit it out?
