When did wool become an acceptable material for making boots?

    This shit isn't remotely durable, water/weather resistant, or cleanable to belong on shoes. Those boots are even worse; at least the rag and bone boots are only doing it on the shaft and might conceivably be less exposed.

    Ah yeah... I can see the appeal but I would just not wear tweed on boots any more than I'd wear a leather cap.

    Some of the wool/blend boots are lined in leather or goretex type stuff.
